I am grateful to share the news that I have received the runner-up award for the student paper competition held by the Computational Mechanics Committee in the Engineering Mechanics Institute Conference 2021! My awarded paper title is "Phase-field Modeling of Shear Fracture in Geomaterials". You can also refer to the previous post for the presentation of my paper.

In this joyful moment, I would like to send my gratitude to my supervisor, Prof. Jinhyun Choo, for his great supervision. Throughout this three-year training, I indeed learnt a lot from him about how to become a good researcher and a wonderful man. I also want to thank Prof. Brigham (chair of the Computational Mechanics Committee) for organizing this event, and two other judges for the insightful discussion. This competition is indeed a precious opportunity for me to promote my work and share my thoughts. Lastly, I also would like to congratulate other awardees on their excellent work. Congratulations to all of us!

Words cannot express how excited I am now!
